Dear Parents/Guardians of Primary 1 to Primary 5 2024,

1. We are pleased to inform you that the application period for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund for students from low-income families will be open from 5 August 2024 to 11 September 2024.

This application window is ONLY for students who are continuing in our school in 2025. As advised by Straits Times, current P6 as well as P1 2025 students will only apply at their respective schools in the 1st half of next year when STSPMF opens their applications again.

2. Students who are successful in their applications (shortlisting for the award is by The Straits Times) will receive the monthly school pocket money of $65 through the school from January 2025 onwards.

3. Successful applicants will be notified by December 2024. Incomplete application/submission of documents will be rejected by STSPMF.

4. Students have to meet the following criteria:
a.  Student is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)
b.  Family has a Gross per capita income (PCI) of $750/ month or less
c. Is receiving full-time formal education at a mainstream primary MOE-designated full-time Madrasahs
d. Is not concurrently receiving school pocket money from another STSPMF disbursing agency or receiving monthly school pocket money from other schemes, excluding MOE/SPED FAS and ComCare
e. Has not been a STSPMF beneficiary for 24 months for the whole schooling years of primary and secondary school and 48 months for post-secondary school.
